Tarotscopes - Tarot meets Astrology

If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m fascinated by astrology. The practice of reading the stars for divinatory insight got its kick-off in Ancient Babylon around the 2nd Millennium BCE, though of course it’s changed and developed a lot since then!

Western Astrology tends to boil down a very complex practice to basic sun sign astrology, concerning itself only with the position of the sun during the time of a person’s birth. What you think of as “your sign” is, in fact, only one aspect of your self—the sun dictates your identity, concerning itself with the ego, personality traits, and the parts of us that we want the world to see. If you’ve ever felt a bit at odds with your zodiac sign, it’s worth calculating (or asking someone else to calculate) your rising/ascendent and moon signs. If you’re more introverted than extroverted, for example, you may find you identify more fully with your moon sign, which governs your emotions, your subconscious, and your interior life.

Why am I thinking about astrology so much lately? Well, as part of my newly launched Patreon program I’ve started writing “Tarotscopes”! These horoscopes—delivered to your email inbox weekly or monthly, depending on your pledge level—are a mashup of astrology and single-card tarot reading, utilizing the position of the celestial bodies and intuitive cartomancy to give you a tailor-made reading that fits your sign. Each reading comes beautifully presented in high quality PDF, with a picture of your card for reference. Want to share with friends and family (or get the scoop on your sun, rising, and moon signs?) I have a reward tier that offers all monthly tarotscopes as well!

To give you a sense of what these beauties look like, I’m giving you a taste-test every month for the new few months - a different sign each time. This month (November 2018), we’ll look at GEMINI. If you like what you see, be sure to check out my Patreon Page and consider supporting. Monthly tarotscopes are available for just a $5 monthly pledge!

Bright and incisive Geminis can look forward to month devoted to organization on all levels: emotional, financial, and practical. That said, as an Air sign, you don’t stand to benefit from watery Scorpio season as much as some of the other signs do, and you’d be wise to shy away from intense emotional expressions in favor of care-taking more practical matters.

The ACE OF SWORDS predicts clarity for you this month, a series of “a-ha!” moments that will offer opportunities for fresh starts and new modes of thought. But though the time for wielding the sharp blade of your wit will present itself in due course, it would behoove you to make sure you have all the information first, before going in for the kill.

This is especially true around the 16th, when Mercury goes retrograde shortly after Venus (finally!) goes direct. This is not a good time to demand ultimatums from partners, friends, or colleagues, though you’ll be itching to do so. Instead, focus on the insight the Ace of Swords brings, using those revelations to clarify your own thoughts and feelings before you lay down the law.

Scorpio sits in your Sixth House, devoted to practical affairs and routines, so use the New Moon energy on the 7th to organize your external affairs—particularly your home and work spaces.

The Full Moon on the 22nd marks a more internal phase for you, so reflect on how your experiences are akin to others rather than seeking to find differences. The end of the month provides reflection and growth, but don’t be too hard on yourself. We all grow at our own pace.

Thanks for supporting my work, and I hope you were able to take something of value from it! As always, it’s a pleasure to connect and serve y’all, and I look forward to offering lots more free content in the future. Big plans for 2019!

xoxo
