About Celeste
Celeste Mott
Hi, I’m Celeste!
I’ve been practicing witchcraft since my teens, and studying the occult seriously for over 20 years. In 2017 I quit my job in fashion to focus on witchcraft, tarot, and writing, and I haven’t had a ‘normie job’ since!
I’m a lover of all things strange and paranormal, a connoisseur of the weird internet, and a vampire cult survivor.
Though I’m based in New Orleans, I offer my services to people from all over the world.
I can’t wait to help you unlock your magic!
My background
Born in rural England and raised in a teeny tiny village in the Cotswolds, I was always fascinated by magic. As a young child the folklore and landscape of the UK was very influential for me: I’d spend long afternoons talking to faeries in the woods, or hunting ghosts in my haunted-as-balls British boarding school (the school was housed in a 16th Century Gothic Revival castle!)
As a pre-teen I moved to Australia, where I lived until my mid-20s. It was here that my fascination with the occult really took root, and when a neighbor threw out a set of tarot cards and a bunch of esoteric texts, my studies began in earnest! I visited New Orleans for the first time in 2007, and after a lot of ritual work and magical operations, I made the city my permanent home in 2012.
Being embedded in the spiritual density of the deep south has been a transformative experience for me, and I’ve been very blessed to connect and learn from so many wonderful teachers, friends, and colleagues along the way.
The world is infinitely stranger, more complex, and more magical than we realize.
My spiritual lineage
I hold several initiations in witchcraft fires and currents, but am not initiated into and do not practice any ATRs or closed cultural traditions.
My lineage is spirit-led and human-initiated, with a focus on the practices of my ancestors (including syncretic folk Catholicism), faerie faith, and oneiric dream witchcraft.
I’ve been extremely fortunate to have many incredible teachers and mentors over the years, but (as is the case with many initiatory paths) am not at liberty to reveal every detail publicly on the internet!
When I started working as a tarot reader in 2005, I was working mostly for psychic hotlines. I learned very quickly that I loved reading tarot for people, but I did not love the ‘pump and dump’ approach to client work that sites like that provide!
For me, magic is a current - a force that we move through and with.
Learning to flow with that current and bend it to achieve a desired outcome has been an obsession and a passion for me since I was a child.
There are many tools, paths, and techniques under the banner of magic, and I tend to eschew labels that feel too boxed-in, however the closest descriptor for my practice is somewhere between Traditional Witchcraft and Folkloric Witchcraft, drawing heavily from the areas of the world where I have lived.
Relationship to the land, to ancestors (both human and non-human), and to spirits of all kinds is key to my practice. I believe wholeheartedly in syncretic praxis, in using what works while remaining respectful and mindful of lineage and closed practices, and of maintaining right-relationship with all beings and intelligences drawn into the field.
When I work with clients, I aim to empower them to discover and connect with their own spirits, to help them stand more firmly on their own two feet in this enchanted, fascinating world we live in.
My goal is never to create dependence or preach a particular path, but to help people accomplish their goals using magic and give them a map to discover the territory for themselves.
.readings & divination
These days, I offer tarot readings and divination via audio recording, as well as spirit scrying and mediumship sessions via recording.
These readings are great for people with questions mundane and spiritual alike - there is no question too big, too small, or too weird (I promise I have heard it all)!
The spirit scrying trance sessions are ideal for people looking to discern their spirit courts, curious about past lives, or wanting to see whether their ancestors or guides have any messages for them.
.classes & resources
I also offer classes, resources, and mentorships for folks who are looking for a more hands-on, DIY approach to magic.
One of the most important parts of practice, to me, is maintaining transparency and giving my clients an inside look into the process of ritual work.
I consider us co-creators in the work that we do together - along with the spirits and guides who step in to help accomplish the desired outcome.
.spellwork
I also offer spellwork for people looking for spells or ritual work to solve problems or accomplish specific goals.
My group monthly magic workings are offered either as a one-off service or on subscription - it’s a great way to try out my work or to get a regular boost of enchantment each month!
My bespoke spellwork is offered after an initial meeting to discuss your needs. I am happy to work on all sorts of issues, from love spells to hex and curse work, and everything in between.
.about my clients
I love working with people who have touched the strange and unusual, who feel in their bones that magic is real but perhaps don’t yet know the way down that particular path.
I am also passionate about working with people who are disentangling from damaging spiritual connections and relationships and seeking to regain their power and sovereignty.
My goal always, whether I’m doing a tarot reading for you or working with you long-term on a magical goal, is to help you find the tools to scaffold sustainable, rewarding, and empowering practices long term.
Magic is a powerful force that can and does change lives.
Let’s help you unlock that door and walk through it!

So about the y2k vampire cult…
In 2025 I went viral for sharing my experience growing up in a Y2K online vampire cult based on Anne Rice’s vampires.
I was very online as a teenager (as many millennials were!) and I stumbled upon a group that would change my life forever, for better and for worse.
This experience (which has been extensively documented on social media and podcasts, as well as in a forthcoming book) is part of why I’m so passionate about spiritual sovereignty, discernment, and maintaining a good balance between the magical and the mundane.
I’m grateful for my experience, because it taught me how powerful belief can be - and how dangerous! It’s a wild story that has been very rewarding to share, but the biggest reward has been hearing so many other people share their personal stories with me.
It turns out that being catfished by online vampires is more common than you’d think!
